I was searching for a innovative way of commuting from 40 km from home to work. Clearly, a 80 km commute wasw a bit out of reach for me. While visiting Key West, I saw a strida 5,0 and found the folding bike to be a possible answer for me. Taking public transit half way (or more) back and forth seemed possible if I could take a folding bike on the bus! I researched all possibilities and the Dahon Mu XL became my choice. The Shimano Hub made it a clean bike for bussing, and the 8 gear ratio (28 to 86 inches) was powerful enough to make for a good workout. The added bonus of a light (front and back) with a rack for work documetns and clothing closed the deal for me. I purchased a Dahon carry-on bag and there I go. At 54 years of age, I feel great that I can link work and training. Great bike with a purpose!!! (My kids find it funny, but interesting! There only 12 and 14!)
